RuPaul For President!!

No, not Ron Paul, RuPaul, the famous drag queen! Why the hell would I pick Ron Paul, a right wing religious zealot who thinks because his personal beliefs are founded on an unwavering devotion to the bible that he is closer to God and is therefore on a mission to make his religious views the law of the land. Not all Americans hold the same religious beliefs and should not be made to follow that which they don't believe. It's called Freedom and that's what America is founded on. I am tired of listening to these Religious Right holy rollers self gratify themselves by proclaiming they are the true followers of Christ and the rest of us have somehow missed the bus.

We are all brothers and sisters who are stuck on this tiny planet that is deteriorating because of our lack of concern for it and we could use each other's help to survive. Let's get politics as far away from religion as we can and realize that government is supposed to govern and serve all of us. Women, men, Christian, non-Christian, gay, straight, black, red, yellow, white and whatever else makes us appear different but in reality just make us different colored human beings with differing sizes of certain body parts. Government should address our needs without regard for any one group’s personal beliefs. Laws should regulate all of us equally. It's not a winner take all competition. We should not be out to destroy one another but to help one another. Let's call a truce on hate and self-importance and try to get along.

Don't listen to the Religious Right ultra conservative wind bags. Their “my way or the highway” philosophy doesn't work. Look hard at what happened to Islam. The Religious Right Muslims are enforcing their narrow minded interpretation of the Koran and are killing other Muslims who are of the same Faith but who hold more moderate religious views. If allowed to go unchalenged, the Religious Right's attempt to take over Christianity will end up in the same situation.

We must learn to get along with one another; not just in America but across the earth. Living in peace is the only answer. Now, we are attempting to use war to bring about peace and look at the mess that created in Iraq, the Middle East, Darfur, Somalia. etc. Lead by example and not by words, but keep an open mind and accept people as equals and not as heathens to be converted to your religious beliefs. As John Lennon wrote, “Give Peace A Chance!” It’s hard work but in the end, it’s worth it. At least it's worth a try.

Agree? Disagree? Don’t care?
